Ondra Renda Aasaigal from the movie Khaka Khaka, starring Surya and Jothika. This is the first song to which I purchased the tabs from Asher’s Academy of Music.
First, I saw the cover video on Youtube. I liked it instantly, so I checked their site for tabs and purchased it. This song was categorized under easy/beginner level. I was able to learn the melody quite easily, then some time taken for the bass. But, I couldn’t play as Asher plays in the cover video at that time. So, I was practicing.
The practice started before the last video of Kadhal Konden BGM, It took some time to gain the confidence and ease of play. Finally, I was ready to record the audio on my phone. I found that when I want to record the play, I am not playing it properly. But, off the record, I was playing it quite well and beautiful. The responsibility of recording it cleanly has raised nervousness and ultimately did not let to record as how I would play it without recording.
Finally, I managed to get a decent recording of both intro and verse, recorded the video and combined them using Kdenlive software. On the side are the recorded videos. I am sure that the continuous practicing everyday will make me get more comfortable and remove nervousness completely, which will yield very good version of this music. I even once played it much better off the record while creating these videos. May be I will upload an improved version later to the same page!
