This is my first exploration ride in the land of beauty. I planned to explore the sunset view on the top of Chittipara, a small hill that I saw during my last ride. It is close to my place, at around eight kilometers.

I started the ride at around 5 PM from the campus back-gate. Despite planning the route, I was slightly lost in finding the connecting road to Chittipara from the main road. Because, the road was so small than I expected. It hid in my plain sight.

This is my first climb ride as well. The connecting road to Chittipara was so steep that I barely had my breath while reaching the start of the hill climb path. On the way, I had to stop because of two dogs barking at me, that was fun.

I started to climb the hill path, the road was becoming steep as I proceed. Then in the middle of the steep climb, I lost my breath. I started to walk my way up than by riding. The place where I stopped to took some air was so good. It can be seen below.

Then, I proceeded after the rest stop to reach the top of the hill. On the way, I was worried about return journey as it would get dark before I come down and there were no street lights in the route.

Finally, I reached close to the top of the hill. To my surprise, I saw a family with house living at near top of the hill. I even saw many houses on the way through climb path. I saw some people in the top of the hill who were quite friendly, generally I find people in Thiruvananthapuram to be quite friendly than my state, people here smile back when I smile at them whereas there they won’t.

I saw the beautiful views from the top of the hill. Below are the images and videos I took on the top of the hill and on the ride as well.

I was able to see my institution from the hill top as well. As one of the videos and images have shown above.

The hill was just some 300+ meters tall only. But, the effort I put made me to think like it was taller than that. However, the views and peace I got is worth my effort. But, I couldn’t get longer time due to road conditions.

I bet the night view will be just amazing in the hill top. Both the city view and the night sky view. Those people living on the top of the hill are lucky to see them. But they will have other difficulties like water etc…
