This is my second ride in the land of beauty with my Light Feathers. The route was unplanned and went on wherever my mind tells to go.
The ride started in the evening around 5:30 PM from the institute’s front gate. I initially planned to go to Nedumangad in one way and return to the other way, almost the same route I took on my last first ride but in opposite. Surprisingly, I reached Nedumangad within 15 minutes. By bus, it would have taken at least half-an-hour.
Then returned back to campus road through the Chullimanoor way, but I still had time left for dinner which will be at around 7:15 PM. So, I continued going in the route to Vithura, up to a place called Tholicode till it gets dark. There I found the below view of a small hill that appears like it is hanging.
Through friends, I came to know the place as Chittipara. A video of the amazing view in the evening is shown on the side. They said that we can climb that hill and there is a road to go by motorbike, and the sunset is amazing in that hill. May be I will try that One day.
Then I returned back to the ISRO junction, and still had half hour left for dinner. So, I took again the route through the front gate to Nedumangad, thought of turning back when I see the signboard for Nedumangad. But, I returned prior to that as the time remaining would be sufficient to return.
On return, I climbed that entrance hill to the front gate of IIST, without much effort. So, the last time (or the first time) I felt exhausted probably because of sun, because I went in afternoon.
I reached campus, logged myself in where the security people inquired about Little Feathers. The mess was near to front gate. So, I went directly to mess, sat beside two friends who told the name of that hill.
On my second pass through the front gate, I saw one of my professors leaving at that time. It was some experience though.
They also stated some other similar hill on the way from Pazhakutty where the sunrise will be good. So, that is also added to my list.
It was a peaceful ride, clearing my mind from unnecessary thoughts and settling it in. This is almost 2 hours ride where I didn’t wear a headphone to listen to music. Partly because I thought I need more caution in these roads, especially with these KSRTC buses. And also to listen to the nature. Ultimately, the nature won!
Below is the strava entry for the ride.
