This is a second long ride that I took with over 75 kilometers, first one was Vikravandi ride and it was unrecorded. The target was the silver beach in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu.

I started the ride around 11 AM today and went to Villupuram-Cuddalore new bypass highway. The highway was empty due to its relatively new construction and the route is not busy. I enjoyed the lone ride on the empty highway, the view of agricultural land was amazing.

I was glancing through the sign boards indicating the areas that I am passing through. In about two hours, I reached Cuddalore and the silver beach where the below two pics were taken marking my arrival to the target.

The silver beach was not that amazing, it is good for bathing as it contains only seashore and no other places like parks etc… I didn’t spend any time on the seashore and started to get back on return route. The return route I planned was through the shoreline highway connecting Cuddalore directly to Puducherry.

Some good views on the overbridge of Then Pennai river were also enjoyed. One view is shown below.

Then I continued the ride till reaching the entrance arch gate of Puducherry as shown on the side. There I went to a fuel station to fill my water bottle then continued my ride.

On the way, I saw many roadside sellers selling tender coconuts. I got one to refuel my energy and continued the ride. It was a happy moment to see the dividing road indicating my closeness to the city. I proceeded further into the city with a plan of getting puncture kits for my companion.

There was a huge traffic due to some bridge construction at that time and I managed to reach the shop to get the kits. I was surprised at the cost of the puncture stickers! Each sticker is just 50 paise. I bought a bunch and returned on track to home. The return from shop journey was through the Oussudu lake route where some elevations are present.

It was nice view at the lake side and reached home at around 3:00 PM. It was a surprise to know that I have covered more than 75 Kilometers in about 4 hours.

Overall, the ride was fun and relaxing. I felt only very mild leg strain, but not tired at all.
